Bob 2 is pretty correct......GP's "cut and run" corporate buddy LP ("Yes We Can") pretty much shot both feet off in the woods and in court, leaving the remains to the Emerson Family and Sierra Pacific. Pacific Lumber's suicide is well documented. And Simpson is just, well....tired. Little old Schmidtbauer is somewhere in the middle buying logs where he can. There's a relatively even aged stand of second growth Doug fir/redwood forest dating from the 1950's thru the 1980's throughout northwest California waiting for maturity and perhaps a market someday. Maybe a reload is in the future......hopefully Ukiah?
