Maybe, they could do some kind of transload, if somebody could figure out how to make a nice deck out of Madrone, instead of redwood?

Or maybe, somebody could find a creative use for hemp stalks, but enough to fill a carload.....well?

Doug Fir will take another 20 years, that is where they have bothered to replant at all (probably 10% or less of the areas once covered with the original first growth fir and redwoods).

Aggregate is another matter, as there is, and has been a growing commercial aggregate shortage, which the recent recession only postponed, but did not fix. If this line finds a business plan which requires upgrade much further toward the north, it will almost certainly be based on rock, not wood products.
