It's true that the tunnel was built as a narrow gauge tunnel, but it also carried standard gauge traffic for many years.

NWP usually used switchers to haul traffic on the Sausalito Branch, but I heard somewhere that they used an SD-7 once and it just barely made it. Is that true?
