Old people don't like young people. Do you know of ANY organization with a Lazarus Project? A#1 item at any museum or club meeting should be transition. All purport to want new members, but have you ever watch what happens when one shows up? They are welcomed, then sidelined until they don't show up any more. The correct response would be to assign the young man (and it's almost always a young man) a mentor whose job is to make sure the new pledge is aggregated into the whole. Does this happen? Nope.
