Hep, what you say is 100% true and the only way we're going to change it is grass roots, one
person at a time. This is a little conquests world at our level and any one person we can get
interested, get involved or just get attentive is a victory. Model Railroading right now is
either shake the box or "quality not quantity" and you can bet the latter had the one person
attention somewhere in their life. I was chuckling at the "railfans" that show up when 844 or
4449 runs and that's "shake the box", it's the other guys who'll brave the snakes, the heat
and the rotten summer light for one shot of something different. That's who needs the applause
and the backing. Rant over.
