Twin City bridges over the Mississippi River

Thanks for the reports. It appears that the highway department bought some grain cars and track reconstruction.

GOOGLE searching last evening produced a news photographer's offering taken from upstream of E. River Road / University of Minnesota. Suggest opening your Rand McNally "the road atlas" to page 53, lower left corner.

The first railroad bridge doesn't show. Evident are the 10th. Av. S.E. bridge, the former I35W bridge, the Corps of Engineer's navigation lock (Number ?), the concrete dam complementing the navigation lock, and in the background is the multiple arch "pedestrian bridge", formerly Great Northern mainline. A classic structure, usually photographed with a steam powered passenger train approaching.

The map shows AMTRAK's depot

Errors and omissions welcome.
