Get this clue[b][/b]: Restricted Speed is a normal, frequent operating condition. So that's pretty damned relevant. And you don't seem to understand much about what is important. Key idea: Why be half-assed about PTC? Make it safe under restricted speed; spend the money to include a transponder in the ETD so the PTC of the following train can calculated time/distance to impact. We could a lot further with making PTC even more effective under other conditions too, but you seem to have a hang-up, so no time will be wasted in exiting this conversation.
