"boondoggle" has become self-evident. In a state with a super-majority of ------ there is no other explanation. I figured out long ago that the propositions almost NEVER do what the written word says. The money goes elsewhere in a round robin of smoke and mirrors. Retread Brown, assured of election put this thing on the ballot, assuming an electorate dumb enough to elect him is dumb enough for anything. Can you name a , say, CA newspaper that lauds the present nonH-SR ?. If the toady Times publishes less than complimentary news doesn't that mean almost anyone can smell the rat?
So tell us the parts of the proposition that are being fulfilled? Hi Speed? um, well no, not via Rosamond. Thirty miles in nowhere? IF that happens . How fast will it go before the brakes must be put on so as to not run off the end of track?.
Private capital rushing to participate? Why invest in HSR when you can get the same result at home by flushing money down your own toilet , or burn it in your fireplace Oh wait that isn't green.
It should be clear to anyone with reasoning capability that the proposed cost and financing were totally bogus. Give me the names of the engineers that came up with the cost "estimate, I'll file a complaint of incompetence with the State Board, if they /it have a license to practice in CA. The politicians are just professional liars, but even Steinberg, a man who never saw a tax dollar he didn't want to steal quashed Brown's Cap'n Trade BS.
it ain't over, there are still plenty of sexual favors to trade between Brown and his justices- perhaps they will "do the right thing".
As far as leaving this continent, hmmmm, China has HSR, and a working death penalty. One can't help but think the gross malfeasance and incompetence so far exhibited in CA would qualify for consideration if Mao were in charge, or even the present enlightened Chinese gummint.
Anybody want to meet for lunch at the Subway in Corcoran?
Be sure to wear your "I want HSR" button
