The increase in pigs is due to the fact that UPS, FEDEX, and Roadway told BNSF to go jump in the river. The BNSF kinda told them the same thing. Seems that those "Z" trains were interfering with all that "black gold". "Q" is the best you'll get. Take it or leave it! They left; straight to the UP. That has created a whole set of new problems at least here in Portland. Because of the priority of all this new business, the regular intermodal is getting pinched. I have had loads sit in Brooklyn yard for 3 days waiting to be unloaded. Of course guess who catches hell when the load does finnally shows up? The trucker!!
