A friend who works for FedEx Freight ( the old Viking and Watkins' LTL operations ) in Seattle, said that they are now rubber - tiring their Intermodal loads to / from U.P.'s Portland hub, instead of railing them in Tacoma SIM. He believes part of this is due to U.P. running the new Intermodal symbol out of Portland on a tight schedule, and partly due to U.P. trains being delayed in favor of BNSF freights between Portland and Seattle. ( duh, look at who owns those tracks.)
