This isn't exactly related to the UP operations in northeast Oregon, but has to do with a specific unit train...

While driving around NE Portland, I often see a UP unit train on the Portland Sub (the old Kenton Line that parallels Sandy Boulevard/Columbia Boulevard) that is solid covered gondolas. What sketchy information I have tells me that this is a copper ore train, but I don't know where it originates or terminates.

Does anyone out there know anything more about this?
