Yes, most of us do like trains..... so much so, that we are all part of the vast jack booted conspiracy to force you to ride them.....?
As I said, Wow!
And, yeah, let's burn much more expensive coal, to keep scarce RR workers doing redundant work, by hauling very expensive coal using our limited rail capacity, in order to make very expensive electricity, when we all pay about a third to half as much less for electricity in most of the west, because we now mostly burn 2/3's cheaper and 3 times cleaner Natural Gas?
Yeah, right? Did some of us miss the fracking boom and the much lower natural gas prices of the last 15 years?
And, given that logic, I suppose we should require folks by law to buy buggy whips for their cars, so the buggy whip makers aren't hurt by consumers preferring that new fangled Model T, just because it is so much cheaper, cleaner, and easier to use, than horses?
This purportedly "conservative" point of view, about capitalism and the free market, and basic knowledge thereof, expressed in some of these more interesting comments are really quite an amusing reflection on the state of our educational system.
I do suspect, from some of these more interesting comments that I did indeed pay a lot more in taxes than some folks for most of my life, and probably still do.... Taking the harder math and science courses probably helped some.... And so, that's probably why I'm still able to afford a new cheaper, cleaner, and more reliable car?
