I believe that SMART is anything but smart. Ridership numbers are questionable and the damn train terminates in larkspur some 10 miles by ferry from San Francisco. Ferries are slow and expensive to ride. Then onec you get to San Francisco you have to walk or take a Muni train or bus to your final destination. At least the Bart riders in the east Bay do not have to endure a boat to get to the city.
