Yeah, they're way down in Texas because Texas (NOT the Feds) has made it more difficult for them to cross by placing obstructions in the Rio Grande. Go to Jacumba, CA (the land of crazy-ass Newsom) and you'll see them streaming across by the thousands EACH DAY. Where they cross constantly revises itself as they search for the path of least resistance.

It was killed by the Republicans, not just Trump, because it was such a horrific proposal. The Dems wanted to allow 5,000 people PER DAY to cross the border before any degree of concern would be expressed.
