remember that).

Putin and Trump didn't like Ukraine #6 because "During the 2019 presidential

the standoff with Moscow. But in office, he’d taken a tougher line,
resisting any compromise with Moscow" this was the same year #45 got caught
trying to withhold arms to Ukraine because he wouldn't find dirt on
Biden for him, remember that.

Also then "Europe’s high dependence on Russian gas gave Moscow
leverage as winter approached. But in 2021 the EU adopted its first
European Climate Law" which would wien it off Russian gas.
Russia saw it was now or never, ie, it was never gonna be flush with cash
like this again.
