It goes to figure that San Francisco would come up with a plan that would cost 4 Billion dollars more than the other plans. That money should be used to help build the whole system, not just one station. Maybe HSR should delare the route as being from San Jose to LA. San Jose is the bigger city anyway. The peninsula section of the route is mainly to upgrade CALTRAIN anyway.
