Thank you Ernest. I understand that well, but there are less obvious concerns about the compatibility of different electrification systems. In no way do I imply that one electrified rail system needs to interchange with another; however, they both use a common power supply (the electric utility called Pacific Gas and Electric Co.) You, of course, realize that their separate sub-stations for conversion of the utility power will draw from probably common transmission lines. According to the "Old Pole Burner," problems will arise here. I need to let him explain the particulars of this. I hope he weighs in here soon. Bert
