Somebody is smokin' something REALLY good. My first impression is WHY??? There isn't enough container business out of Lewiston in the first place. Back when the line between Arrow Jct. and Moscow was severed, there was more total rail business generated out of the area there is now--and there was no outcry to restore the service at that time. Makes for a good story though. The whole Palouse region is criscrossed by old abandoned roadbeds that nobody has ever seriously considered re-laying.
I guess the next thing would be to re-lay the Milwaukee...
