Interstate-5 bridge collapses into river north of Seattle

At about 7:00 PM, PDT this evening, the Interstate-5 four-lane bridge over the Skagit River between Burlington and Mount Vernon, WA collapsed, dumping cars and people into the river.
I-5 is the primary West Coast north-south route, particularly for International and Interstate truck shipments between Canada and the U.S. !! Tomorrow morning's commute traffic as well as three or four day Holiday traffic should be a real nightmare.
