Maybe not too wise to increase weights and sizes of highway vehicles before infrastructure is rebuilt. Taxpayers are tapped out and cannot afford subsidizing highways until people again can make more money. So there is the big problem.

Things will not get better very soon. California has a huge unfunded public pension mess on its hands that will suck up available monies for a long time. Washington is likely in the same boat.

It is truly amazing how railroad companies continue to build and maintain their own facilities while earning a profit.

Back on the roads, things are not about to improve in the near future. Get used to reality and drive safely.
