NOPE! Protesting is what was done back in the 60's. Protesting is a statement of objection to something in a civilized manner.
Whining is going on and on about something you protest with the intent that the whining itself will become intolerable for others to make them change to what you want. Today, it is all about who whines the loudest and therefore who gets the attention.
