Our Albuquerque store has had two guys working us over for valve solutions on their SASOL
process project aka coal to burnable distillate. They're working on streamlining the process to
the point where they can attract investors to do a large scale plant. The Germans ran much of
WWII on similar fuels so it does work, it was just expensive but then so is $90 oil. It would
be extremely difficult to replace even a small portion of the present coal plants and they may
have some political support but start and mention "dark" and "cold" to the masses and they
change sides in a hurry.
