Wow, yah interesting thread. It's funny to wander out in the middle of Iowa and here stuck up
in the breeze are a dozen big windmills powering amongst other things-an alcohol plant!! It's
amazing to see operations that grow corn, make alcohol, feed the corn to the cows, make methane,
make power, use the fertilizer, etc, no muss no fuss.
I live in Arizona, like 430 days a year with sunshine and in virtually every suburb the CCR's
forbid solar panels on the roof! That's even though they're making panels that look like wood
shakes. E's right, there's at least somebody is opposed to anything and everything and if you
look in the SF Chronic or any other large paper there's always a help wanted ad for demonstrators
and/or clerical or other help for Sierra Club and the like. There's a big somebodies financing
all this and I'll bet with enough looking at least part of it comes from our own benevolent
government.
