As the manager of a railroad who does not have tis own police force due to the size of the company, having to relay on the Local or state law enforcement community makes it hard to control tresspassers and vandalism. In these tough economic times the locals have more to do then just coming out on a railroad call.

Just the other day the FRA and TSA staged a tresspass exercise on our railroad and the train crew called in the trespassers and they were then confronted by local law enforcement.

Out railroad passed the test.

Drew I hope you enjoy your hobby off railroad property, but with the new regualtions imposed upon the railroads many of us who were friendly to rail fans now must take an approcah that keeps any one who does not have a business reason to be on railroad property must be reported and then asked to leave. So unless you are invited onton railroad property stay off the ROW. Its not that railroads do like railfans they do not have a reason to be on the property and the hobby is not a good reason
