Thinking about this a little more, there are Metrolink flyovers in El Monte and San Bernardino that might give an idea of what the jumpovers on the CHSR line would do to a diesel train, as well as the Redondo Jct flyover. Does anyone know the normal speed over these? My experience as a rider is that it's less than the ordinary track speed. By the way I don't know the total number of these on the current 119 mile segment, but I know from photos on the CHSR site that there are 3 or 4 between Fresno and Madera, and I've personally photographed one in Shafter and one in Wasco, in addition to the Hanford viaduct. Does anyone know the total number of these?
