As Ronald Reagan would say, "There you go again!"
I NEVER suggested that trains should return to Pacific Grove. You obviously haven't read the discussion thread very carefully.
Go back and re-read it. Here's to better luck at comprehension the second time around.

I know the 1976 Rails-to-Trails law works like a finely-tuned Swiss watch for the Trails crowd. Once in a great while, like what we see happening in Michigan, it works for the Rails crowd. Those Michigan people are a strange lot. They put up a fight and they get what they want; i.e., the rebirth of a railroad.
Californians could learn a lot from them. Everyone here just worries about balance sheets, whether bridges can be rebuilt, and if ConRock will vacate a strip of land.
"The sky is falling! The sky is falling!"
These people wouldn't recognize a "Can-do" attitude if it came up and bit them on their butt.
