One of my favorite and most inspirational songs is by Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks: "How Can I Miss You When You Won't Go Away?"
But remember. Things were nice and quiet for about two and a half days, and then JHFC had to show up, with a photo no less, and stir the pot!
And, besides, aren't we shooting for the Guinness World Record for the longest discussion thread?

Good point. Manned space exploration is pretty much ancient history, and new construction projects are few and far between since we're spending so much money payng off debt interest to the Chinese and others. There really haven't been any significant new construction projects going on here in the U.S. for the last several years. About the only ones I can think of are the replacement World Trade Center in New York and the Mike O'Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge. That last one drives home my point. There's so few construction projects going on that they have to name ONE new bridge after TWO people.
We should rebuild the rail line to Monterey for, if nothing else, proof to ourselves and the world that we still have the capability to do such a thing.
