"We could learn a lot from Oregon"??? Like why does Oregon has the highest marginal tax rate in the country? Why is 55 mph the speed limit everywhere but the Interstate. Why can't you pump your own gas in Oregon? Etc, etc, etc. Oregon is just as screwed up as California.
